AKG Q701

I just received my new shiny AKG Q701 headphones (Lime-Green). And initial tests with my macbook pro were very underwhelming. While they sound good and crystal clear, they aren't even close to what they sounded in Magnolia Audio Video?

To be truthful, I almost expected them to disappoint me when tried with a MBP. I am going to try these with my AV receiver next but I think I am eventually going to need a dedicated amp to power these.

There is no end of the search for perfect audio :-)
